Editor's review of PhotoPlus
At its essence,
PhotoPlus is a Photoshop clone without the most advanced features, for a fraction of the price. The interface is almost identical, from the tool icons to the layers pane.
PhotoPlus allows working with several layers and supports masks, but you can't add new toolbars. Using layers, you can create and edit animations for the Web, and a number of filters are here. The set of tools is not as large as Photoshop's, but it's enough for retouching photos. Web designers will appreciate the tool that allows you to immediately view how JPEG compression will impact image quality. The trial version disables some of the tools and filters. In our opinion,
PhotoPlus will be more than enough for home users and intermediate Web designers.
